Red, White and Blue Ice Cream Social Coming to Adena Mansion & Gardens

(Chillicothe) – The Adena Mansion & Gardens will host their annual “Red, White, and Blue Ice Cream Social” on Saturday, July 9th.

Michael Boyle and Rick Barnes will provide the live music entertainment. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy homemade fruit cobblers and root beer floats.

The Social will run from 11am-4pm in the picnic pavilion behind the Visitor Center.

Admission will be charged at the gift shop, and there is an additional cost for cobbler and floats. Admission is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, and $5 for children age 6-12, free for Ohio History Connection and Adena Mansion and Gardens members and children 5 years-old and under. You may purchase your tickets online or at the door.

Tours of the mansion and grounds that day begin at 9:30am, 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. The grounds are open from 9am to 5pm.

Festival of the Bells Returns After Two Year Break

The Hillsboro Festival of the Bells is back after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2022 festival will be July 7-9 and will be conducted in a newly developed green space area close to Hillsboro’s downtown.

Activities get underway with food and craft vendors opening at 4pm on Thursday, July 7th. Opening ceremonies will be at 6pm and parade at 7pm. Opening night entertainment will feature the music of Caylee Hammack at 9pm at the main stage.

Friday night entertainment is Blue Steel at 7pm and Elvie Shane at 9pm.

Saturday night’s entertainment is Enduring Grace at 7pm, followed by Jordan Felize at 9pm.
