Lancaster’s “Glass Town Countdown” Event Will Ring in 2025

Article Presented By Classic Brands…

Join in on the fun in Zane Square at 10pm on New Year’s Eve to watch the 500 pound ornament be raised into the sky at midnight, ushering us into 2025.

Local shops and restaurants will be open for the event, and there will be hot chocolate on hand for a late December night.

The event runs until 1am on January 1st, 2025.

The ball that will be raised in the air is covered with community-made and purchased ornaments from the Ohio Glass Museum.

Paul Bell of the Ohio Glass Museum demonstrated to Litter Media how these ornaments are made.

There are no more sign-ups to make your own ornament, but they are still available for purchase at the Ohio Glass Museum.

At noon on New Year’s eve, the Children’s Museum in Lancaster will have their own celebration for younger kids.

This smaller ornament will be used at the Children’s Museum at noon on New Year’s Eve.

Watch our video below, where we spoke to Jonett Haberfield, the Executive Director of Visit Fairfield County. You can also watch a glass blowing demonstration from Paul Bell of the Ohio Glass Museum.
