(Chillicothe) – The Board of Trustees of the Ross County Historical Society has notified their membership that their Executive Director, Darren Baker, has resigned and accepted a position on the Faculty of Hocking College.
“While we wish Darren the best in his new endeavor, we are sorry to see him go”, said Board President Dana Martinko.
Baker, who has also served as a professor at Shawnee State University, has been with the Ross County Historical Society for over one year and during this period implemented many process improvements including updating our payment systems, payroll processing, and office communication networks. He was also instrumental in formalizing employee job descriptions and reorganizing job duties.
“Your Board is committed to these positive changes and is moving forward in our search for a Director who will lead this organization in new directions as we focus on enhancing community involvement and exposure while maintaining the legacy left to us by the tireless efforts of past and present volunteers and staff”, according to President Dana Martinko.
