Westfall Boys Headed To 2024 State Golf Tournament With District Championship

The Westfall Mustangs are headed back to the Division 2 State Golf Tournament after claiming the district title Wednesday with a team score 325, edging Ironton by one stroke. The Tigers also advance to state as a team.

Colton Brungarth led the way for the Mustangs with a 77, followed by Brendan Biegler and Jacob Hicks with each shooting 82. Dalton Bush had an 84, and Ian Camden 85.

Fairland’s Jeremiah Fizer was match medalist with a round of 76, to qualify for state, along with Braeden Cardwell of Gallia. He won a one-hole playoff between Logan Elm’s Grant Cline.
