2024 OHSAA Track & Field Championships Netting Scorers By Local Talent

A number of area athletes competing in the 2024 OHSAA State Track & Field Championships at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium have placed in the top eight, scoring points for their respective schools. Here is the list of finalists that have scored points, with more updates coming throughout the weekend:

Chillicothe’s Kiera Archer seventh in girls 400 dash.

Brooklyn Herbert of Teays Valley 7th in girls high jump.

Nadir Langston of Hamilton Township, 2nd in boys 110 hurdles and 5th in 300 hurdles.

Marisa Heil of Lancaster 3rd in girls 1600.

DIVISION 2
Mason Coffman of Washington 4th in boys 100, Peyton Caudill of Minford 6th in 100 dash.

Peyton Caudill of Minford 8th in 200 dash.

Cameron Burgess from Chesapeake, 3rd in 110 boys hurdles. Chayse Lipscomb of Fairfield Union 4th in boys 110 hurdles.

Emma Lane of South Point, 4th in girls 100 and 3rd in 200.

Girls 4×200 relay South Point 3rd.

Boys 4×100 relay Gallia Academy.

Anna Conrad of Fairfield Union 5th in girls 1600.

Boys 3200 Nathan Phillips of Fairfield Union 6th.

Girls 4×400 Fairfield Union 5th place (Sarah Lepi, Averey Cottrill, Abigail Pike, Anna Conrad).

Sophia Szolosi of Athens state champ girls 3200. Sheridan’s Tate Ruthers 3rd place in the 3200.

Sheridan’s Beckett Strong 6th in girls 800

Derrick Taylor of South Point 7th in boys discus.

Christian Thompson of Fairfield Union state runner-up girls high jump.

Alden Williams of Logan Elm 7th in boys long jump.

Athens girls 4×800 6th place Sophia Szolosi, Margaret Nunemaker, Landis Corrigan, and Olivia Smart.

Lily Dennis of Sheridan 6th in the girls discus.

Spencer Brower of Zane Trace 7th in boys shot put.

Brooke Hopkins of Huntington 5th in girls seated shot put.

DIVISION 3
Garrett McKinniss of Oak Hill 5th and Cody Hessler of North Adams 6th in boys 100 dash.

Coal Grove’s Kylie Montgomery, Olivia Kingrey, Laura Hamm, and Madison McDaniel state champ girls 4×200 relay..

Landen Eyre of Whiteoak third in boys 1600 run.

Nelsonville York’s Kaden McWilliams, Walker Stone, Landen Inman, and Makhi Williams 6th in boys 4×100 relay.

Kylie Montgomery of Coal Grove placed 7th in girls 400 dash.

Cody Hesler of North Adams state runner-up in boys 400 dash.

Laura Hamm of Coal Grove 4th in girls 800.

Boys 800 won by Jack Gentile of Fisher Catholic. Beau Hesler of North Adams third place, and Weston Blair of Whiteoak 6th.

Izaak Cox of Rock Hill third in boys 200 dash.

Samantha Seas of Peebles 6th in girls 3200.

Landen Eyre of Whiteoak state champ in boys 3200. Blake Rodgers of Belpre third place.

Remi Moon of Leesburg Fairfield placed 8th in girls D-3 high jump.

Izaak Cox of Rock Hill is state champ in boys D-3 long jump.

Fisher Catholic 4×800 Relay of Landen Funk, Nathan Krile, Reece Hagy, and Jack Gentile win state title.

Annamarie Montle of Federal Hocking state runner-up in D-3 girls pole vault.

Emma Hayes of Eastern Meigs placed 7th in girls discus.

Payton Johnson of Peebles placed 7th in girls long jump.
