ROSS COUNTY

A culvert replacement project on State Route 28 between Porter Hollow Road and Harper Station Road. This project is set to begin on July 7th. S.R. 28 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 41 to U.S. 50. Estimated completion: July 18

 A culvert replacement project on State Route 180 between Bowsher Lane and Gay Street. This project is set to begin on July 8th. S.R. 180 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 56 to S.R. 159. Estimated completion: July 10

U.S. 35 Resurfacing— A resurfacing project on U.S. 35 between the Jackson County line and Vigo Road. At least one lane of traffic maintained. Estimated completion: Fall 2025

A resurfacing project on N 28 and N 38 inside Great Seal State Park. At least one lane will be maintained on all routes. Estimated completion: Summer 2026

A bridge replacement project on C.R. 222 between Blacksmith Hill Road and Concord Church Road. All lanes will be maintained. Estimated completion: Fall 2026

State Route 159 (Bridge Street) Safety Improvement Project — A safety improvement project that will improve interchanges, intersections, lighting, traffic control, and pedestrian facilities. Left turns will be permitted from Bridge Street to River Trace Lane and Consumer Center Drive. At least one lane will be maintained in all directions of Bridge Street. At least two lanes will be maintained in both directions between North Plaza Blvd and The Chillicothe Mall entrance.  All turn lanes will be available through intersections.

U.S. Route 23 Resurfacing — A resurfacing project on U.S. 23 between S.R. 207 and U.S. 35. CONTINUING IMPACTS:

• U.S. 23 NB traffic seeking U.S. 35 WB will be restricted to the far left lane and utilize the crossovers. Traffic seeking U.S. 23 NB will be restricted to the far right lane on U.S. 23.
• Access to U.S. 23 NB will be permitted from East Main Street.
• Access to U.S. 35 WB will be restricted from East Main Street. East Main traffic seeking U.S. 35 WB will be detoured via E. Main Street to N. Bridge Street to U.S. 35 WB
• At least one lane will be maintained between S.R. 207 and the Chillicothe Bypass for the duration of the project.

Estimated completion: Fall 2025

PIKE COUNTY

A bridge replacement project will replace the existing structure on S.R. 220 between S.R. 552 and Fish and Game Road. S.R. 220 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via East Emmitt Ave to S.R. 104 to S.R. 552. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

S.R. 32 Intersection Improvement — Project will install a restricted crossing U-turn (RCUT) at the S.R. 335 and S.R. 32 intersection. At least one lane will be maintained in both directions on S.R. 32. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

C.R. 9 Bridge Replacement — A bridge replacement project on C.R. 9 between S.R. 124 and Fields Hollow Road. All lanes will be maintained. Estimated completion: Fall 2025

U.S. 23 Resurfacing — A resurfacing project on U.S. 23 between Manufacturing Center Road and the Scioto County line. At least one lane will be maintained. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

PICKAWAY COUNTY

Interstate 71 Widening- Carson Road above I-71 will close through mid-July for bridge rehabilitation. Detour: Carson Rd. to London Rd. to U.S. 62 or reverse.

State Route 762 Pavement Repairs between U.S. 23 and Ashville Pike will have various lane restrictions through Fall 2025 for pavement repairs. Two-way traffic will be maintained via flaggers.

A sanitary sewer project will temporarily close a section of Bulen Pierce Road for 10 days, beginning October 10th. The closure will affect the stretch between Duvall Court West and Shepherd Road as crews work to complete necessary infrastructure improvements. Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes during this period. Estimated completion: October 20, 2025

JACKSON COUNTY

 A resurfacing project on S.R. 788 between Fairgreens Road and S.R. 93. This project is set to begin on July 22. One lane will be maintained with flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2025

A resurfacing project on S.R. 776 between the Pike County line and Graham Road. This project is set to begin on July 22. One lane will be maintained with flaggers. Estimated completion: Fall 2025

A resurfacing project on U.S. 35 between the Galia County line and Orpheus Road. At least one lane will be maintained in both directions. Estimated completion: Fall 2025

S.R. 93 Culvert Replacement — A culvert replacement project on S.R. 93 between Clay Banner Road and Sternberger Road. S.R. 93 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 279 to U.S. 35 to S.R. 32. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

 A culvert replacement project on S.R. 139 between Red Brush Road and Horton Sisters Road. This project is set to begin on July 7. S.R. 139 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 32 to S.R. 93 to S.R. 279. Estimated completion: July 21

Work on S.R. 327 between S.R. 32 and Wellston Industrial Park Road. Work will occur daily for this construction. S.R. 327 will be closed for the duration of the project; traffic will be detoured via Wellston Industrial Park Road to Fairgreens Road. Estimated completion: To be determined 

FAYETTE COUNTY

State Route 734 Culvert Replacement- SR 734 between SR 38 and I-71 will close starting Monday, July 14th through July 28th for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 734 to SR 38 to I-71 or reverse. 

U.S. 35/ S.R. 435 Resurfacing between the Greene County Line and I-71 will have various daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.) through September 2025 for resurfacing. S.R. 435 between I-71 and U.S. 35, west of Jeffersonville will have various daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.) through September 2025 for resurfacing. 

HIGHLAND COUNTY

A resurfacing  project on S.R. 73 and S.R. 785. S.R. 73 will be impacted between  between the Adams County line and Deer Run Road. S.R. 785 will be impacted between S.R. 247 and S.R. 73. At least one lane will be maintained on S.R. 73 and S.R. 785 for the duration of the project. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

FAIRFIELD COUNTY

State Route 159 Resurfacing – Resurfacing and related work on SR 159 in Fairfield County between US 22 and the Pickaway County line. Includes preventive maintenance on bridges within the project limits. New impacts: Beginning Monday, July 14 two-way traffic will be maintained with a flagging operation for resurfacing. 

State Route 664 Culvert Replacement – This project is for the replacement of culvert on SR 664 in Fairfield County. Detour: SR 664 to SR 312 to SR 93 to SR 664 and reverse. New impacts: Tuesday, July 22 SR 664 will close to traffic between SR 312 and Geneva School Road SE. The roadway is expected to re-open the afternoon of Friday, July 25. 

State Route 188 Culvert Replacement – This project is for the replacement of culvert on SR 188 in Fairfield County. Detour: SR 188 to SR 674 to US 22 to US 33 to SR 188 and reverse. New impacts: Monday, July 28 SR 188 will close to traffic between Rockmill Road and Mt Zion Road for culvert replacement. The roadway is expected to re-open the afternoon of Wednesday, July 30. 

State Route 204 and Milnor Road Intersection Improvement – Installation of a westbound left turn lane at SR 204 and Milnor Road. Detour: SR 204 to SR 256 to I 70 to SR 310 to SR 204 and reverse. New Impacts: Beginning Tuesday, September 2 SR 204 will close to traffic at the intersection of Milnor Road for approximately 50 days. The roadway is expected to re-open late October. 

HOCKING COUNTY

A resurfacing project is taking place on SR 180, between SR 374 and SR 374. Traffic is being maintained by flaggers. ESTIMATED COMPLETION: September 15

A pedestrian safety improvement project on West and East Main Streets in Logan. Work will take place on the shoulder and the sidewalk next to the roadway. Flaggers will maintain traffic during daytime hours. A 15 foot lane restriction will be in place. ESTIMATED COMPLETION: September 30

SCIOTO COUNTY

A culvert replacement project on U.S. 52 between Vaughters Run Road and Stoney Run Road. This project is set to begin on July 22. U.S. 52 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 125 to S.R. 348 to S.R. 73 to S.R. 239. Estimated completion: July 23

A culvert replacement project on S.R. 140 between Lang Slocum Ridge Road and Dogwood Ridge Road. This project is set to begin on July 15. S.R. 140 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 522 to S.R. 93. Estimated completion: July 16

A slide repair project on U.S. 52 between Brouses Run Road and Careys Run Pond Creek Road. All lanes will be maintained. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

Work for a bridge replacement project on S.R. 335 between Lucasville Minford Road and Lyons Road. Work will occur daily for this construction. S.R. 335 will be closed for the duration of the project; traffic will be detoured via S.R. 823 to U.S. 23 to S.R. 32. Estimated completion: Fall 2025

VINTON COUNTY

SR 677/SR 278 RESURFACING
A resurfacing project is taking place on SR 677 between Creek Road and SR 278, and on SR 278, between U.S. 50 and SR 56 (Hocking County). One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained by flaggers.
Estimated Completion: October 30

SR 278 LANDSLIDE
Due to a landslide, one lane is closed and traffic is being maintained with temporary signals on SR 278 between Cabin Ridge Road and Long Ridge Road.

ATHENS COUNTY

A resurfacing/concrete repair project is taking place at the following locations in the City of Nelsonville: Old U.S Highway 33/E Canal Street/W Canal Street/W Washington Street, Burr Oak Blvd., and Happy Hollow Road. Lane closures will be in place where work is occurring. Traffic could be detoured onto side streets. Estimated Completion: October 31

U.S. 33/SR 682 ROUNDABOUT CONSTRUCTION
Traffic is being maintained by flaggers on State Route 682 at U.S. 33. Additionally, the right shoulder is closed on U.S. 33 westbound. Now through August 1, the State Route 682 ramp to U.S. 33 westbound will be closed. Estimated Completion: October 31.

STATE ROUTE 7 RESURFACING
A resurfacing project on State Route 7, between the Meigs County line and Church Road. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Estimated Completion: July 15

ADAMS COUNTY

S.R. 247 Culvert Replacement — A culvert replacement project on S.R. 247 between Calvary Road and Greenbrier Road. S.R. 247 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 785 to S.R. 73 to S.R. 770. Estimated completion: July 11

BROWN COUNTY

 A culvert replacement project on S.R. 286 between Bloomrose Road and Upper 5 Mile Road. This project is set to begin on July 16. S.R. 286 will be closed from 7AM — 4PM for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via U.S. 50 to S.R. 131 to U.S. 68. Estimated completion: July 19

S.R. 756 Culvert Replacement — A culvert replacement project on S.R. 756 between the Clermont County line and Mount Zion Road. S.R. 756 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via S.R. 505 to S.R. 125 to S.R. 774 to S.R. 133. Estimated completion: Summer 2025

A resurfacing project on US 68 between S.R. 125 and Delhi Arnheim Road. At least one lane will be maintained using flaggers.  Estimated completion: Summer 2025

FRANKLIN COUNTY

A two-year pavement reconstruction project is underway on Interstate 70 west of Columbus. The major roadway rehabilitation will replace pavement on I-70 between the Madison County Line and Hilliard Rome Road. Westbound will be reduced to two lanes. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to two lanes and shifted into a contraflow pattern, with both directions of I-70 traffic maintained in the existing westbound lanes. In 2026, traffic will switch to the eastbound side while crews rebuild the westbound lanes. These lane restrictions will be in place for the duration of the project, which is anticipated to be completed in Summer 2027. Reducing the number of lanes allows both directions of traffic to be maintained throughout construction. This approach allows crews to reconstruct the roadway without active traffic, enhancing safety for both drivers and workers.

GALLIA COUNTY

A culvert replacement project begins on August 4 on SR 7, between Westbranch Road and Sugar Creek Road. The road will be closed. ODOT’s detour is SR 7 to SR 553 to SR 218 to SR 7.
Estimated Completion: August 22

SR 7 SLOPE STABILIZATION
A slope stabilization project is taking place on SR 7 between Neighborhood Road and Lower Garfield Road. One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals.
Estimated Completion: July 21

COUNTY ROAD 40 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
A bridge replacement project begins on July 14 on County Road 40 (Patriot Road), between Burnette Road and Hutch Street. The road will be closed. ODOT’s detour is Patriot Road to Hannan Trace Road to German Hollow Road to Ramblewood Drive to Burnette Road.
Estimated Completion: November 14

SR 218 BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
A bridge replacement project is taking place on SR 218, between Lanes Branch Road and Everett Road. One lane is closed. Traffic is being maintained with temporary signals.
