Fairfield Union was up 14-7 after one period and built a 17-7 advantage, before the Lady Indians made a run to within 23-20 late in the second quarter, then 25-20 at halftime.

The third quarter is where the Falcons pulled away, holding Hillsboro without a field goal in that stanza as they were 0/7. The Fairfield Union lead stretched to 39-24 after three, with a 52-36 final.

Fairfield Union’s defense was stellar in the win, holding Hillsboro to 11/41 from the field- including 3/14 from the arc for only 26%. The Lady Falcons shot 17/50- including 3/14 from the arc for a total of 34%. Both teams had 27 rebounds and each with 18 turnovers.
