D-1 & D-2 Swim Meet Nets Area Qualifiers for State Tournament

Columbus Academy finished atop the Boys D-2 Swimming District Meet at Ohio University Friday. The Vikings finished ahead of Athens, Watterson, Granville and St. Clairsville rounding out the top five. Chillicothe was 9th with Warren 10th.

According to the OHSAA website, the top two finishers in each event will advance to the State Tournament.  The remaining field of state tournament qualifiers will be at-large qualifiers and advance based on time from all District Tournaments statewide.

The Diving competition of the State Swim Meet begins Monday at C.T. Branin Natatorium in Canton with D-2 Prelims for Swimming is scheduled for Thursday at with Finals on Friday. D-1 Prelims begin Friday with Finals Saturday.
