Dawson Bryant Sweeps D-3 District Track & Field Meet at Northwest

More than a dozen schools competed for boys and girls district titles as finals were held Friday at Northwest High School in the Division 3-South District Meet.

Coal Grove Dawson Bryant won both boys and girls team titles by comfortable margins. The boys scored 156 points, well ahead of runner-up Whiteoak with 124 points. Valley was third, followed by Peebles, Green, North Adams, South Webster, Leesburg Fairfield, Manchester, Notre Dame, West Union, New Boston, Portsmouth Clay and Lynchburg Clay.

Dawson Bryant won the girls title with 143 points, followed by North Adams with 98. Third was Leesburg Fairfield, South Point, Whiteoak, Peebles, Notre Dame, West Union, Valley, South Webster, Piketon, Lynchburg Clay, Manchester, St. Joe, Green and New Boston.
