Hillsboro High School Junior, Madisyn Hollen, was crowned Miss Fall Festival of Leaves Thursday night at The Paxton Theatre in Bainbridge.

Hollen was on the 2021 court as 3rd Attendant and succeeds Samantha Truitt, whose final duties will be to host a Queens Luncheon Sunday at the festival and appear at The Circleville Pumpkin Show next week.

Hollen is the daughter of Amy Hollen and Michael Miller. She’s a member of the Hillsboro HS Varsity Girls Soccer, Swim and Tennis teams. Hollen’s also involved with the Hillsboro Symphonic Choir, Spanish Club and is taking College Credit Plus classes at Southern State College.

Rachelle Priest, a senior at McClain HS, was selected 1st Attendant. Paint Valley sophomore Sophi Stauffer is 2nd Attendant and Reagan Truitt, also a sophomore at Paint Valley, is 3rd Attendant.

“Christmas in the Valley” was the theme for this year’s pageant. The dance number featured the candidates performing to “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” with each wearing ugly sweaters. Zane Trace senior Jerrica McNight was awarded the “Ugliest Sweater”. Stauffer was a double winner, awarded Best Evening Gown by the judges and Miss Congeniality, selected by the candidates themselves.

Hollen and her court will preside over the festival which runs through Sunday afternoon in Bainbridge.
