Unioto Boys/Girls Sweep SVC Cross Country Championships

Unioto boys and girls cross country teams swept the high school SVC team championships Saturday at Zane Trace High School.

For the Shermans boys team, it is their 8th straight SVC title and 21st in school history. Unioto’s Turner Markko was the individual boys champion in a time of 16:53.3. Adena’s Ryan Richendollar was runner-up in a time of 16:57.8. The Tanks took places 3-7.

The Lady Shermans won their second straight SVC CC title and 10th in school history. Cameron Walker of Unioto was the individual race title in a time of 19:51.9, followed by Zane Trace’s Marie Souther in 20:11.6 as runner-up. Unioto runners also placed 3rd and 6th.
