Facebook Fund Drive Campaign To Help Ross County CAC Homeless Shelter

Article Presented By Rathkamp Financial

A Facebook donation page has been established to enable donations to assist Ross County Community Action fund their local homeless shelter. The goal is to raise $150,000.

Since January 24, 2022, Ross County Community Action has been operating a homeless shelter for the Chillicothe and Ross County area. To date, Ross CAC has provided more than 8,600 bed nights, serving 337 adults and 17 children experiencing homelessness. In addition to providing a safe place to sleep, they have partnered with multiple agencies in the community to provide access to wrap around services.

This year alone, more than 100 individuals have been referred to the rapid rehousing program, 115 individuals have been connected to peer recovery services, more than 50 individuals have received mental health services, and over 30 guests have entered substance use treatment services.

The Emergency Shelter costs approximately $1,000 a night to operate, and they are asking the community for their support to continue this effort.

*Facebook takes care of the donation processing with no fees.*
