Public Comments Sought For SR 335 Project In Pike County

(ODOT) – As part of the Ohio Department of Transportation—District 9’s Planning Department, the district’s Environmental Office is seeking public input for a roadway realignment on State Route 335 in Pike County
It is proposed to realign approximately 950 feet of S.R. 335 to reduce the impact of the Scioto River erosion to S.R. 335. The project is located in Jackson Township, between the village of Omega and Schilder Lane.
No streams will be impacted by the project.
The project will require approximately 0.555 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is in an agricultural field.
No homes or businesses will be removed by the project. S.R. 335 will be closed for the duration of the project. The detour will be S.R. 335 to U.S. 23 to S.R. 220 to S.R. 32 to S.R. 335. The detour is approximately 13.5 miles.
The funding for the project is 80% Federal and 20% Local. The environmental commitment date is 7/28/2023. The project is currently expected to be awarded 7/1/2024.
