Local Air Quality Challenged by Canadian Wildfires

The smoky skies over the region continue to blanket the normally enjoyable views of the hillsides and city skylines across Ohio, thanks to the wildfires in neighboring Canada.
With the air quality conditions becoming an issue for those with impaired breathing, Litter Media has introduced the Current Air Quality widget on www.littermedia.com.
According to the information presented by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) and the U.S. EPA AirNow program, “light southerly winds will slowly transport lower particle concentrations into the region each day as smoke gradually decreases.” The sources adds ‘significant pollutant carryover across the region will keep particle levels elevated, with Unhealthy AQI levels for PM2.5 on Thursday and Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups AQI levels for PM2.5 on Friday.”
It wouldn’t hurt to check on loved ones or neighbors who are sensitive to poor air quality and HVAC professionals suggest checking the filter in your home’s HVAC system, changing the filter if necessary.
