Valley & Wheelersburg Claim SOC Boys Golf Crowns

The 2023 SOC Boys Golf Championship netted the Valley Indians the SOC 1 and the Wheelersburg Pirates the SOC 2 titles at Elks Country Club Wednesday in Portsmouth. 

Valley shot a 352, Eastern 372, Western 389,  South Webster 392, St. Joseph 408, Notre Dame 417.

Wheelersburg 327,  Waverly 352, Minford 368, Portsmouth West 375, Northwest 391,  Oak Hill 417.

Cameron Phillips shot an 8-under 64 for SOC 1 “Player of the Year” honors.

SOC 1 All-Conference includes Owen Mault of South Webster 77, Elijah Ford of St. Joseph 77, Cayden Haislop of Eastern 80, Logan Slusher of Eastern 87, and Tate Queen of Valley 89.
Coach of the Year: Tyson Phillips – Valley

Brady Gill of Wheelersburg fired a 5-over 77 for the SOC 2 “Player of the Year” honor.

SOC 2 All Conference includes Carter Hancock of Wheelersburg 80, Ben Nichols of Waverly 80, Brandon Eichenlaub of Northwest 82, Landon Boston of Minford 83, Eli Hall from Wheelersburg 84.
