(Chillicothe) – Ohio University Chillicothe education faculty Karen Corcoran and Dr. Amy Wolfe were honored recently with Ohio University’s Chapman Clapp Outstanding Advisor Award.
The annual award recognizes outstanding staff and faculty advisors with a plaque and a stipend.
Karen Corcoran is the regional coordinator of professional internships in teaching for the OHIO Patton College of Education and the program coordinator of Middle Childhood Education at OHIO Chillicothe.
“She is always there when you need her,” said one of her students. “She wants nothing but the best for every student she comes in contact with. She is the most positive, uplifting, helpful person I have communicated with during my time at OUC. I would not have made it without her.”
Dr. Amy Wolfe is an assistant professor in Teacher Education and coordinates the Early Childhood and Elementary Education and Associate of Child Development Programs at OHIO Chillicothe.
“Amy has contributed to my success by constantly reaching out to check on me and make sure I’m doing okay with my classes and asks if there’s anything I need from her,” said the student who nominated her. “She has also been available for many phone calls I’ve had with her if there was something I needed to talk about. Through my four years of school, Amy has always encouraged me and challenged me to be better.”
