Ohio Governor Executive Order Funds Numerous Area Organizations

(Columbus) – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine has signed Executive Order 2023-11D, directing Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program funding to initiatives that will assist struggling families and encourage workforce development.
The executive order distributes funds to the following area agencies:
Up to Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) will be used to assist Chabad Center/LifeTown in supporting eligible students with special needs reach their educational goals in Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Jackson, Licking, Madison, Marion, Morrow, and Union counties.
Up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) will be used to assist Fairfield County TeenWorks in providing workforce development training to eligible youth in Knox and Fairfield counties.
Up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) will be used to assist Mommies Matter in providing transportation services to eligible pregnant mothers and their children in Delaware, Fairfield, and Franklin counties.
Up to One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars ($175,000) will be used to assist Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services in providing support services to eligible families in Franklin, Delaware, Fairfield, Licking, Madison, Pickaway, and Union counties.
Up to One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) will be used to assist Pike County YMCA in providing a space for eligible families to receive meals and emotional support in Pike County.
Up to One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) will be used to assist Pregnancy Decision Health Center in providing parenting classes and resources to new and expecting parents in Franklin and Fairfield counties.
Up to Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) will be used to assist Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central Ohio in providing a school-aged mentorship program in Ross County.
