Two Big Scoring Runs Lead Warren to District Win Over Logan Elm

Warren’s Warriors used scoring runs of 19-0 in the first half and 12-0 in the second half for a 54-34 Division 2 District Semi win over the Logan Elm Braves Monday at the Ohio University Convocation Center.
The Braves grabbed early leads of 8-2 and 10-5, only the see Warren run off their 19-0 blitz. Logan Elm shaved a 24-10 deficit to 28-18 at halftime. LE made a run to get to within 28-22 in the third period, only to see the Warriors get on a 12-0 run for a 40-22 advantage that never dropped under double digits the rest of the contest.
Warren was led by 6’0 junior guard Julian Stadelman’s 29 points and 6 rebounds. Hayden Wells added 10 points, while 6’7 senior Taylor Trent scored 9 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Logan Elm’s Nemiah Waugh scored 12 points to lead the Braves with Brady Sabine added 5 points and 6 rebounds. Camden Redd scored 4 points, Tyler Speas and Carson Summers each had 3 points, with Keegan Diehl scoring 2 points and grabbing a team high 7 rebounds.
The Warriors were 22/37 from the field- including 4/13 from the arc for 59%, adding 6/16 from the foul line. Logan Elm shot 14/43- including 3/17 from the arc for only 33%. The Warriors outrebounded the Braves 33-22, with Logan Elm committing 10 turnovers and Warren only 5.
Warren improves to (21-3) and will face New Lexington in the district final, while Logan Elm’s season concludes at (12-14).
