Chillicothe Independence Day 2024: Information to Help You Navigate for the Holiday

In a news release from Chillicothe Mayor Luke Feeney’s office, how to get to the events celebrating our
Country’s Independence Day on Thursday, July 4th, in Yoctangee Park.

Pool Party
The annual pool party will be held on Thursday, July 4th, from 7:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M. at the Donald M.
Smith Memorial Pool in Yoctangee Park. Individuals may purchase tickets through the City of Chillicothe
Parks and Recreation Department on the first floor of the City Administrative Building located at 35
South Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH. Tickets are $15 per person, children ages 2 and under enter for free.
Swimming, food, and refreshments are included with entry. Please call the Chillicothe Parks and
Recreation Department at 740.772.5626 for additional information.

Trolley Rides
The Chillicothe Trolley will be operating its “Downtown Route” on Thursday, July 4th, from 2:00 P.M. –
8:00 P.M. Additional information can be found by visiting the Chillicothe Transit System’s website or by
calling 740.773.1569

Fireworks
The City of Chillicothe’s Fireworks will begin approximately at 9:45 P.M. on Thursday, July 4th. Spectators
should be positioned and prepared by 9:30 P.M. Parking will be limited, and traffic flow around
downtown will be modified. Motorists should account for additional time while traveling to their
preferred viewing destination. For additional information, call the Safety Service Department at
740.773.2700.
