Westfall Boys/Girls Sweep Adam Sharp Invite to Open 2024 Area HS Golf Season

The McClain Adam Sharp Invitational opened the 2024 high school golf season for many teams around the area Thursday with Westfall sweeping both girls and boys team titles.

In the Girls Match, Westfall shot a a 151 to take first place, followed by runner-up Zane Trace at 183. The order of finish continued with Clinton Massie 188, Jackson 190, Circleville 197, McClain 202, Miami Trace 205, Chillicothe 212 (8th place tie-breaker), Goshen 212 (9th place), Logan Elm 213, and Wilmington 236.

Westfall’s Paige Weiss was girls medalist with a 5-under par 30. Second place was Rosella Lattavo of Zane Trace with a 33.

On the boys side, Westfall needed a tie-breaker to edge Chillicothe for the team championship after both teams carded a regulation round of 157. Third place went to Jackson at 171, McClain 172, Hillsboro won the fifth place tie-breaker at 179, followed by Washington 179, Miami Trace 191, Wilmington 195, and Goshen at 207.

Westfall’s Colton Brungarth claimed medal honors with a par 36. Second place was Chillicothe’s Aiden Fischer and Westfall’s Brendan Biegler at 38.
