(Piketon) – The annual Fluor-BWXT Employee Giving Golf Outing was a huge success this year, raising $33,704 to support local veterans. This year’s outing benefitted the food bank at the Veterans Care Network. The money raised will be used to help veterans in Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Jackson counties.
“When it comes to supporting our community, especially our veterans, the generosity of our employees is unmatched,” said Fluor-BWXT President and CEO Greg Wilkett. “I’m proud of our employees’ commitment to helping others in our community and the Veterans Care Network is an outstanding resource to help our local vets.”
Each fall, Fluor-BWXT employees take part in a month-long event with various fundraisers for charities in Pike, Scioto, Ross, and Jackson counties. Since 2011, Fluor-BWXT employees have donated more than $1.3 million to these charities that are making a difference in our community.
This year’s winning team was Tim Poe, Tommy Graff, Rick Osborne, and AJ Osborne. Second place was Rick Walls, Dean Hoover, Kyle Burchett, and Scott Fraser. Third place was Caleb Penn, Alex Hopkins, Zach Parker, and Jerison Harper.
