HS Conference Cross Country Championships Decided Saturday

Several area conference cross country championships were held Saturday, October 12th with team and individual titles awarded. Litter Media has result links from the FAC, SVC, MSL Buckeye, and SOC listed below:
(FAC at Jackson HS)
Chillicothe won the boys championship with Hillsboro runner-up. The individual crown went to Corbin Winkle of Hillsboro with Daniel Hurff of Chillicothe second. CLICK HERE FOR BOYS HS RESULTS
Boys Cross Country: Runner of the Year- Corbin Winkle, Hillsboro High School
1st Team: Daniel Hurff, Jayden Beverly, Noah Flores and Tim Kessler representing Chillicothe High School, Matthew Gibson representing Jackson High School, and Rason Brunck representing Hillsboro High School.
Miami Trace claimed the girls team championship with Chillicothe coming in second. The girls individual title goes to Chillicothe freshman Gabby Maranzana and her teammate Payton McQuirt placed second. CLICK HERE FOR HS GIRLS RESULTS
Girls Cross Country: Runner of the Year- Gabby Maranzana, Chillicothe High School
1st Team: Payton McQuirt representing Chillicothe High School, Alli Knecht, Karleigh Cooper and Kamika Bennett representing Miami Trace High School, Taylor Thoroman and Abbey Letts representing Hillsboro High School.
(SVC at Huntington HS)
Unioto won their 10th consecutive boys conference title and 23rd SVC cross country championship in school history. Zane Trace came in second in team points. Shermans’ William Lynch and Caleb Caplinger are individual champ and runner-up, respectively. CLICK HERE FOR HS BOYS RESULTS
The Lady Shermans also claimed their fourth straight SVC team championship and 12th in school history. Adena is the team runner-up. Adena’s Vanessa Conley is the individual race champion, with Unioto’s Briana Nelson pacing second. CLICK HERE FOR HS GIRLS RESULTS
(MSL Buckeye at Bloom Carroll)
Fairfield Union continued their boys cross country dominance with the team championship as they took the top five individual places and seven of the top eight. Bloom Carroll took second in the team standings. Defending state champ Andrew Walton grabbed the individual title with fellow Falcon Christian Reindle placing second.
The Lady Falcons of Fairfield are also MSL champs, with Bloom Carroll second. Vera Henderly of Fairfield Union is the individual winner while Circleville’s Maddux Bigam finished as runner-up.

(SOC)
Waverly won the SOC 2 team championship, with Eastern champions of SOC 1. Branden Mantell of South Webster is the all-around individual winner and Waverly’s Gabe Clifton runner-up. CLICK HERE FOR HS BOYS RESULTS
Waverly was also the girls SOC 2 champion and South Webster champ of SOC 1. Overall individual champion is Marley Kreischer of South Webster and Paisley Turner of Waverly is runner-up. CLICK HERE FOR HS GIRLS RESULTS
