Westfall Girls & Boys Golf Place In OHSAA State Tournament Top

Westfall Girls and Boys Golf closed another successful season with top 10 finishes at the Division 2 State Championships at Firestone Country Club in Akron.

The Lady Mustangs finished 6th as a team, shooting a 731 over two days. Paige Weiss placed 3rd as an individual competitor with a 152 for the tournament, which makes here First Team All Ohio. Other Lady Mustangs were Caroline Sever 186, Marianna Packer 191, Michelle Pickett 202, Kathryn Lockhart 225.

Rosella Lattavo of Zane Trace finished in a 10th place at 163 to garner Second Team All Ohio honors. West Union placed 12th.

In the D-2 Boys Tournament, the Mustangs finished in 9th place. Westfall’s Brendan Biegler shot a 162, Jacob Hicks 166, Colton Brungarth 177, Dalton Bush 96, and Ian Camden 218.

Ironton placed 10th.
