Southeastern Rallies For Five-Set Victory Over Federal Hocking

(16-8) Southeastern needed a come-from-behind effort to get past Federal Hocking in the Division 6 District Semi at Wellston High School.

After a narrow 25-23 Set 1 victory, the Panthers then dropped the next two sets by scores of 19-25 and 11-25.

With their backs to the wall, Southeastern stormed back for wins of 25-20 and 15-8 to secure a berth to the district final on Saturday against (22-2) South Webster, who swept Waterford (25-23, 25-20, 25-6).

Southeastern’s Tuesday win was led by Jozy Lougheed’s 25 assists, 11 kills, 12 digs, and 4 serving aces.  Macy Strausbaugh had 12 assists, 6 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces Kylee Dunn had 8 kills and 3 blocks, Reese Ruckel 10 kills and 3 blocks, Rowan Ruckel with 4 kills and 3 blocks, and Ava Carrico had 10 kills.

Gracie Brown had 28 digs and 5 assists, Jade Turner 9 digs,  Calley Stauffer 18 digs, and Kyra Francis 6 digs and 2 serving aces.
