(Waverly) – The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) named Chandler Grooms, Tourism Development Director, to participate in the 2024-2025 Class of the Appalachian Leadership Institute, a free leadership and economic development training opportunity.
Over the next nine months, Grooms will participate in sessions focused on skill-building with regional experts, peer-to-peer learning, and case study analysis.
Upon graduation they will then join a robust alumni network, allowing them to continue connecting with, and learning from, other leaders across Appalachia.
“I am honored to be selected for the Appalachian Leadership Institute. This is a tremendous opportunity to learn from experts and collaborate with other leaders across the region. I’m excited to bring new ideas and strategies back to Pike County, to help strengthen our tourism efforts and drive sustainable growth in Appalachian Ohio.”
