The Warriors used their middle hitting combination of Corinne Day and Katie Burns as they had 21 and 16 kills respectively to propel the offense. Caroline Glandon added 3 kills and Adyson Wisecup 2.

Burns then finished with an attack kill, and then another kill off a New Lex overpass for the win, that appeared to set the tide of momentum for the Warriors the rest of the match.
Set 2 was even at 8-8 before Adena took off for a lead that extended to 22-12. New Lex cut that deficit to 23-17, only to see the Warriors close out a 25-18 win.
The third and final set had Adena with a lead of 5-1 before the Panthers managed to close the gap to within 7-6, then later and later 14-13. After a 17-13 spread, the Warriors started to sputter for a few minutes with New Lex pulling to with 18-16, resulting in an Adena timeout. Following the break, the Warriors went on a 5-0 run for a 23-16 advantage, only to see the Panthers last gasp fall short in a 25-19 match sweep win.
The win is Adena’s 6th straight district crown and 38th district championship in school program history.
