Holiday Events Planned for Adena Mansion & Gardens

Two special Christmas themed events are planned for the Adena Mansion & Gardens in early-to-mid December. Holidays at Adena and the Wreath Workshop. Holidays at Adena will take place on December 7th, 8th, 14th, & 15th from 10am-4pm, and the Wreath Workshop will take place on December 7th, 8th, & 14th from 10:30am-4pm.
“Join us as we re-open for the holidays for two weekends only during winter. With Adena Mansion and Gardens decorated in yuletide splendor, it will put you in the holiday spirit”, according to E. Paige Foraker, Communication Coordinator Adena Mansion and Gardens Society.
“Tour the beautifully decorated mansion and see how they celebrated the holiday season, with tours every half hour beginning at 10:30am and the last tour starting at 2:30pm. Visit the Tenant House to learn how German tenants celebrated with traditions they brought to Adena. Find a Christmas tree with handmade decorations, enjoy German offerings of cookies and mulled cider, and a craft will be available for children. Stop back in the Visitor’s Center for live entertainment, beautiful decorations, and the chance to shop for holiday items in the gift shop.”
Admission for this event is $12 for adults and $6 for children. During Children’s Weekend on December 14th and 15th, one child for each paying adult will be admitted free of charge.
The second feature on many of the same dates, Adena Mansion and Gardens will be helping you to decorate your holiday wreath. Evergreen wreaths and natural materials gathered from the grounds of Adena Mansion and Gardens will be available. You may also bring personal mementos or decorations to decorate with.
