Ohio Severe Weather Poster Contest Now Open For Students Art Work Submission

(Columbus) – The Annual Service Severe Weather Poster Contest for Ohio kindergarten through 8th grade students is now open through January 10th, 2025.

The committee holds an annual poster contest geared towards elementary school students to encourage an interest in safety, preparedness, and severe weather awareness. The creativity of the artwork and the thought that goes into each submission is remarkable. This contest generated over 500 submissions in 2024 with an awards ceremony held to honor the contest winners.

Students must have their entry postmarked/stamped by the January 10th, 2025 deadline. Poster Judging will be February 4th, 2025 with the winner’s notified no later than February 15th, 2025.

The awards ceremony for winners will be conducted Friday, March 21st, 2025, which is also the last day of Severe Weather Awareness Week. The ceremony will be 10am at the Ohio Emergency Management Agency 2855 West Dublin Granville Road in Columbus.
