Pioneer Center Welcomes New Board Members

(Ross County) – The Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities has welcomed two new board members after the departure of two long-time members. The new board members are Randi Uhrig and Bill Showman, while current member Katie Guba, was also sworn in for new terms by HR Director, Brady Ratzlaff.

Mike Thompson has served on the board since 2012 and is retiring at the end of 2024. Board President, Mike Thompson, accepts retirement recognition from Superintendent, Amy Beeler during the board’s December meeting.

“The dedication and wisdom that they have provided to our board will not be easily replaced,” said Superintendent of the Pioneer Center, Amy Beeler. “We are sad to see them go but are so grateful for the impact they have had on our agency throughout their years of service”.

The Pioneer Center swore in new members, Randi Uhrig of Uhrig Financial and Bill Showman of Paint Valley ADAMH, after their December board meeting. Current board members, Hunter Robinson and Katie Guba, also renewed their terms.

“We are excited to see what Randi and Bill will add to an already fantastic group of board members,” added Beeler.

The Pioneer Center, otherwise known as Ross County Board of DD (RCBDD), exists for the purpose of improving the quality of life for citizens who have a developmental disability. RCBDD is committed to providing quality services that give individuals and their families choices that enhance community participation and achieve a life of increasing capabilities.
