2024 Outreach Proves Successful For Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Ohio

Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Ohio is sharing their success numbers for 2024, which shows there were 667 youth served during the year. The agency provides youth mentorships in Ross, Pickaway, Pike, Fayette, and Highland counties.
Community-Based Littles totaled 120 and School-Based Bigs and Littles totaled 547. BBBS also show they had 8,152 hours of mentoring during 2024, which is the time invested by staff and volunteers to impact the lives of youth.
Some of their goal achievements show 96% improved or maintained academic performance and school attendance, 92% avoided risky behaviors- including bullying and drug/alcohol use, and 89% improved emotional regulation and decreased depressive symptoms.
Fund raising from sponsors and community support efforts saw $92,162 raised through the Annual Dance For Kids’ Sake, then another $35,743 from the Annual Bowl For Kid’s Sake.
Their 2024 Match Stats saw 45 community-based matches supported, 174 school-based matches meeting weekly, 14 new one-to-one matches created, and 66 ready to be matches meeting weekly.
