Unioto Sizzles In 64-31 Win at Southeastern

Unioto shot better than 50% in each of their final three quarters in a 64-31 win over Southeastern Tuesday at the Larry Jordan Gymnasium, running their SVC leading record to (8-1/11-2), while the Panthers fall to (4-4/9-5).
The Shermans never trailed in the contest, jumping out to a 5-0 start and a 17-7 lead after the first quarter. That lead expanded to 39-17 at halftime, 50-26 after three periods and the 64-31 win with the continuous clock turned on in the fourth quarter.
Three Shermans’ scored in double figures, led by Litter Media Radio’s “McDonald’s Player of the Game” Blake Fitch, who had 21 points. 17 of those in the first half. K.B. Perkins had a double-double of 12 points/12 rebounds, while Blake Hoops added 10 points. The Tanks scoring was rounded out by Caden Cutright’s 9 points, Isaac Coy 6, Jaxon Zickafoose 4, and Jack Welch with 2 points.
Southeastern was led by Brevin Strausbaugh’s 11 points, Brayden Burns with 6, Lane Williams 5, Carter Fisher 5, Gage Cheadle 2, and 1 point each from Parker Bodary, Carson McWhorter, and Landon Brown.
Unioto shot 25/46 from the field- including 5/10 from the arc for 54%. They added 10/11 at the free throw line, grabbed 31 rebounds and committed 13 turnovers.
Southeastern was only 10/44 from the field- including 2/13 from the arc for just 22%. The Panthers connected on 7/14 at the foul line, grabbeed 18 rebounds and committed 14 turnovers.
