Circleville Athletic Hall of Fame Adds Three

Circleville City Schools – The Circleville Athletic Department is proud to announce the 2025 Circleville Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, set to take place this Saturday, January 18th, at Circleville High School. The ceremony will be held at the conclusion of the junior varsity basketball game, approximately 7:00 PM, in the Circleville High School gymnasium.

This year’s inductees are Draven Bass (Class of 2016), Michael Camp (Class of 2016), and Sarah Moats (Class of 2019).

Draven Bass

A 2016 graduate, Draven Bass excelled in both track & field and soccer. In track, he was a four-year varsity letter winner and holds five school records in the 100m, 400m, long jump, 300m hurdles, and 4x200m relay. He earned multiple accolades, including seven First Team All-Mid-State League (MSL) honors, and was named team MVP in 2014, 2015, and 2016. His exceptional performances helped lead the track team to back-to-back MSL and Southeast District titles.

Notably, Draven claimed district championships in the long jump in 2015 and 2016 and set records at the MSL and Southeast District levels. His talent was showcased on the state level as he advanced to the outdoor state championships four times and won Indoor State Championships in the long jump and triple jump in 2016.

Draven’s success extended to academics, earning him Academic All-Ohio honors in 2015. As a senior, he represented Team Ohio in the Midwest Meet of Champions.

In soccer, Draven was a four-year varsity letter winner, earning First Team All-MSL and Second Team All-Southeast District honors in 2014. He continued to excel in 2015, receiving Second Team honors in both categories. Draven was instrumental in the success of the 2015 soccer team, which set multiple school records, including most wins, fewest losses, and most shutouts in a season.

After high school, Draven continued his athletic career at Ohio Dominican University, where he achieved further success. He set collegiate records in the 4x400m relay and 400m hurdles and earned Great Midwest Athletic Conference titles in the 4x100m relay, 4x400m relay, and 400m hurdles in 2018. Draven’s accomplishments and leadership have solidified his legacy and earned him a place in the Circleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.

Michael Camp

Michael Camp, a 2016 graduate, was a standout multi-sport athlete in football, basketball, and baseball.

In football, Michael earned numerous accolades, including First Team All-MSL, First Team All-Southeast District, and Second Team All-Ohio in 2015. He continued his dominance in 2016, earning Third Team All-Ohio, First Team All-MSL, and First Team All-District honors.

Michael’s outstanding performance on the field led to the establishment of several school records, including most passing yards in a season (2,256), most passing yards in a game (451), most touchdown passes in a season (29), and most touchdown passes in a career (53).

In basketball, Michael’s talents were equally impressive. He earned multiple honors, including First Team All-Southeast District, First Team District 14, First Team All-MSL, and Division II Special Mention All-State in 2015. He also received the prestigious Pickaway County Bob Bowser Award.

Michael’s leadership and ability to perform in critical moments were evident throughout his basketball career, as he played a pivotal role in his team’s success.

Beyond his athletic skills, Michael’s work ethic, sportsmanship, and dedication to his teammates set him apart and made him a natural leader.

Sarah Moats

A 2019 graduate, Sarah Moats was a dynamic multi-sport athlete who excelled in softball and soccer. In softball, she earned Honorable Mention All-Southeast District honors as a freshman in 2016 and continued to improve throughout her career. By her senior year, Sarah was a four-time All-MSL selection and a three-time All-Southeast District honoree.

She received 2nd Team All-State honors in both 2018 and 2019, solidifying her reputation as one of the top players in the region. Sarah’s impact on the field was undeniable, as she set school records in career stolen bases (90), career runs (135), season doubles (15), season triples (7), and season home runs (6).

In soccer, Sarah demonstrated similar excellence. She earned multiple All-MSL and All-Southeast District honors, showcasing her skill and determination on the field. Her consistent performance throughout her high school career contributed to the success of her teams and highlighted her versatility as an athlete.

After high school, Sarah continued her softball career at Walsh University, where she competed at the NCAA Division II level in the GMAC Conference. During her collegiate career, she earned 1st Team All-GMAC honors and was named an NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete in 2023. In 2024, Sarah achieved 2nd Team All-GMAC honors.

As a five-year starter, she demonstrated unwavering commitment and excellence, leaving a lasting legacy at Walsh University. Sarah’s remarkable achievements, both in high school and college, have earned her a well-deserved place in the Circleville High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
