Unioto Lady Shermans Win Third Straight SVC Gold Basketball

For a third straight season, the Unioto Lady Shermans have run the table of SVC girls basketball teams to win the Gold Ball for an undefeated 2024-2025 conference season at (14-0).

Unioto sealed the deal Wednesday with their 81-32 victory over Paint Valley.

To add to the milestone evening, Unioto senior Mya Hamilton scored her 1,000th career point, joining junior Milee Smith who accomplished the same feat earlier in this season.

This is the 19th SVC girls basketball title in school history. Unioto’s three season SVC winning streak of 42 straight wins has surpassed the all-time SVC girls basketball win streak record of 40 games, previously set by Southeastern in 2018.

The Lady Shermans open tournament play at home on February 15th at 2pm agains the Athens/Chillicothe winner from February 12th. Litter Media Radio will broadcast that February 15th game.
