(Hopewell Earthworks) – Get ready for an incredible journey through Ohio’s rich cultural history during Ohio World Heritage Week: 7 Days, 7 Sites, happening April 12-18, 2025. This weeklong celebration invites you to explore the newly designated UNESCO World Heritage-listed Hopewell Ceremonial Earthworks through guided tours, interactive activities, and engaging discussions.

Each day features free tours of one of Ohio’s remarkable earthwork sites, from Fort Ancient and Great Circle Earthworks to Seip Earthworks and Mound City Group. Along the way, discover the stories behind these ancient ceremonial landscapes, their astronomical alignments, and their deep cultural significance.
The week culminates on Friday, April 18, at the Octagon Earthworks with a lineup of exciting events, including a World Heritage Bake It or Make It Contest, a twilight tour, food trucks, and an insightful panel discussion on what it means to be a World Heritage Site.
