SOVC 17’s Win Ohio Valley Region Championship

The Southern Ohio Volleyball Club (SOVC) added to their lengthy list of Ohio Valley Region Gold Division championships with their 17A team claiming the title Sunday at the Ohio Convention Center in Columbus.
SOVC won their pool play with a (3-0) record, advancing to the Gold Tournament. In the quarterfinal they defeated HOVA Club out of Thornville, Ohio- (27-25, 25-15). In the semifinal, they swept Grand Lake from Northwest Ohio- (25-17, 26-24). The championship match was also a sweep over Zero Gravity from Massillon, Ohio- (25-23, 25-18).

SOVC has won more than one dozen OVR Gold championships in the club’s history, the most for any area OVR member volleyball club.
