Rio Grande’s Pike Center hosted their grand opening on May 1st, along with an open house and guided tours of the building.
According to Chandler Grooms, the Tourism Development Director of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, this is Pike County’s first higher education facility.

Ryan Smith, President of the University of Rio Grande and Rio Grande Community College, says that the center is “right in line with our mission, which is to open up opportunities for people in our area.

The facility features five classrooms, a science lab, administrative offices, and a conference room (pictured here).
Enrollment is available on Rio Grande’s website for general education courses, college credit plus, and a social services degree.
