Article Presented By McDonald’s, “I’m Lovin’ It!”

(Waverly City Schools) – Waverly Police Chief John Winfield has been recognized as the 2025 Ohio D.A.R.E. Law Enforcement Executive of the Year. The Waverly Police Department supported the D.A.R.E. program at Waverly City Schools to start the 2024-25 academic year.

Chief Winfield, who became Waverly Police Chief in 2021, was instrumental in providing this support to the Waverly City Schools D.A.R.E. program. He will receive this award on July 7th during the awards ceremony at the D.A.R.E./SRO Conference in Sandusky, Ohio.

“Waverly City Schools would like to thank the Waverly Police Department and Chief Winfield for their support of our students.”
