Smoke Test Survey Coming To Frankfort Sewer System September 1st
Article Presented By Kingston National Bank…
(Frankfort) – Work crews will begin a smoke test survey on Monday, September 1st of the sewer system in the Village of Frankfort. The smoke test survey will assist inspection crews in locating breaks and defects in the sewer system.
The smoke should not enter your home unless you have a defect in your homes plumbing system or if you have drain taps that are dried up. It is advisable for the homeowner to pour a gallon of water into any unused bathroom fixture and each floor drain prior to the testing date. If smoke does enter your home, there is strong reason to assume that dangerous sewer gases are entering your home or business. You should evacuate the building immediately and notify the work crew. If you are not at home and find smoke when returning, call Bryan Mowrey at (740) 998-5261.
If there is any individual in your home or business that has respiratory problems and is immobile, notify the work crew prior to the testing.
If it rains on September 1st during the smoke testing, a “rain date” will be scheduled for the smoke test survey.
