(Chillicothe) – Beginning September 30th, all services provided in the Scioto Valley Forward Workforce Hub will move to the OhioMeansJobs Center in the Ross County Service Center.
The Hub, which was based in the annex of the Chillicothe & Ross County Public Library’s main branch on South Paint Street, served more than 1,100 visitors since June 11, 2025.
“We greatly appreciate the hospitality we’ve been shown since we began the operation on June 11,” said Rick Reynolds, program administrator at South Central Ohio Job and Family Services. “The library staff has been very receptive and helpful throughout our time here.”
Workforce Hub staff will be at the Hub on Monday, Sept. 29, then transition officially to the OMJ Center.
The change comes as visits to the Hub have slowed in recent weeks. But the work doesn’t stop, and displaced workers can still receive services at the OhioMeansJobs Center, located inside the Ross County Service Center, 475 Western Avenue, Suite B. The center is open 8am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
Reynolds thanked Library Director James Hill and Communications and Marketing Director Courtney Lewis for the use of the annex space and for their flexibility in helping the workers.
