
Chillicothe Volleyball Halts Miami Trace’s 41 Match FAC Win Streak

The Chillicothe Girls Volleyball team pulled-off a five set win over the Panthers at Miami Trace Thursday (12-25, 25-21, 11-25, 25-19, 17-15), stopping Miami Trace’s 41 match FAC win streak and creating a first place tie (7-1) with two league matches to play.
Despite lop-sided losses in Sets #1 and #3, the Cavs kept coming back to force the fifth and deciding Set. Chillicothe built a match-point lead of 14-9 in Set #5, only to see the Panthers storm back to tie the Set at 14-14 and 15-15, before Chillicothe scored the final two points for the victory.
Chillicothe was led by Evelyn Hamman with 20 kills, 3 blocks and 11 digs. Makalee Miller added 11 kills and 8 aces. Isabella Witte dished out 31 assists 11 digs, and Campbell McAllister led the defense with 18 digs.
With two FAC matches to play, both squads are tied for first place at (7-1).
(7-1/10-5) Miami Trace closes league play with contests at McClain on September 30th and at home vs rival Washington on October 2nd. (7-1/10-6) Chillicothe closes with home matches against Washington on September 30th and Jackson on October 2nd.
