Ross County Board of DD Earns Top Accreditation

(Chillicothe) – The Ross County Board of Developmental Disabilities (RCBDD) is proud to announce it has earned a three-year accreditation from the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD)—the highest level of achievement a county board can receive.

This recognition follows an extensive and rigorous review by the state, confirming that the Ross County Board is not only meeting but exceeding Ohio’s strict standards for quality, compliance, and service delivery.

“This three-year accreditation is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the hard work, dedication and heart our team brings to the people we serve every day,” said Amy Beeler, Superintendent.

“Our staff— from Service and Support Administrators to Early Intervention specialists and administrative personnel—work tirelessly to ensure individuals with developmental disabilities in Ross County can thrive, grow and live meaningful lives.”

The DODD conducts these reviews to ensure county boards are operating in full compliance with state laws, maintaining current training and best practices, and effectively managing state and federal funds. A three-year accreditation signifies exceptional performance across all areas and demonstrates the board’s unwavering commitment to excellence.

During the review, RCBDD received high praise for several standout programs and achievements, including:

• Facilitating the installation of 10 universal changing stations across the community, improving accessibility and inclusion.

• Launching the “High Fives – Good Vibes” program, recognizing direct support professionals (DSPs) who go above and beyond.
