(Lancaster) – AHA! Children’s Museum has announced the unveiling of a new, space-themed playhouse, created in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio, Kiwanis Club of Lancaster, and The Workforce Center. The playhouse, located in the museum’s outdoor Playscape beside the bike shop exhibit, invites children to blast off into space as they pretend to be astronauts.
Each year, Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio partners with sponsors to build a playhouse for a local family or organization, giving children a safe place to play and use their imaginations. In 2022, AHA! Children’s Museum received a Bike Shop from the Lancaster Rotary Club and Allie’s Ice Cream Shoppe from Shine Like Rainbows, Allison Lynn Conover Memorial Fund.
The museum is excited to add another playhouse to its outdoor Playscape. “We are thankful to Kiwanis of Lancaster for donating their time, energy, and funding toward this new playhouse, and to the Workforce Center for donating the Project Playhouse space for the build. Partnerships like this allow us to create opportunities for children to learn, grow, and imagine together,” said executive director of AHA! Children’s Museum, Julia Hilty.
“We look forward to seeing families enjoy this new playhouse as they blast off into space, and to the future improvements that will further complete the Playscape.”
