Adena’s Katie Burns Leads All SVC Volleyball Honors

Article Presented By Rathkamp Financial…

SVC volleyball champion Adena and runner-up Unioto leads the list of 2025 all conference honors, with each team placing four players on the all league squad. This is the first year the SVC is honoring 18 all league players, aside from their “Defensive Player of the Year” award. Previously, 15 all league players were named- in addition to the DPOY.

Adena senior Katie Burns headlines the 2025 All SVC Volleyball Team, being named “Player of the Year” for leading the Warriors to their second consecutive Gold Ball season. Burns led the conference with 446 kills, after earlier in the season becoming Adena Volleyball’s first player in program history to surpass 1,000 career kills.

Adena junior Kimmy Dalton will collect her second straight “Defensive Player of the Year” award, sharing the 2025 honor with Unioto senior Alyssa Stanley. Dalton had 408 digs and a conference leading 69 serving aces. Stanley had 442 digs with 48 serving aces.

The SVC “Coach of the Year” is Laura Smith of Adena, her 24th such honor in her career. 2025 is the 28th conference championship for Smith and the 33rd in school history, claiming their 17th Gold Ball.
