
Chillicothe Paints Release 2026 Schedule

(Chillicothe) – In conjunction with the Prospect League, the Chillicothe Paints, presented by CohenOrthopedic, announced their 2026 game schedule Thursday. Chillicothe opens its 33rd season on the road at Johnstown Tuesday, May 26. Season tickets are available for purchase online at ChillicothePaints.com.
The Paints return to VA Memorial Stadium Thursday, May 28, for their home opener at 7:05 p.m. against the Kokomo Creek Chubs. Along with $2 draft beer for Thirsty Thursday, there will also be a postgame fireworks show to celebrate the opening of a new season.

This season, the schedule features 56 regular-season games, including 28 home contests for the Paints and 28 on the road. Chillicothe will play 10 of the other 19 Prospect League teams, including non-division foes Dubois County Bombers, Normal CornBelters, REX, Clinton LumberKings, Thrillville Thrillbillies and Cape Catfish. The Paints play 41 of their 56 games within the Northeast Division, which includes the Lafayette Aviators, Champion City Half Trax, Kokomo Creek Chubs and Johnstown Mill Rats.
The Prospect League‘s 2026 lineup features 20 teams from seven states. The Kokomo Creek Chubs and the soon-to-be-named Decatur club play for the first time this summer. Additionally, the team in Springfield, Ohio, has rebranded to the Champion City Half Trax after 11 seasons as the Champion City Kings. For playoff purposes, Prospect League teams are divided into two conferences, each with two divisions, which have been realigned for the upcoming season:

The Paints play their closest rival more than any other opponent this season, taking on Champion City 13 times, includng six at home and seven in Springfield. Chillicothe plays 11 times against Johnstown, 10 against Lafayette and seven against Kokomo. Dubois County is on the schedule six times, while Normal makes three appearances. The Paints play the REX and Clinton twice each and battle Thrillville and Cape just once each.
