Cavs’ Smith Tops at GMVWA
Several area teams wrestled earlier this week in the GMVWA Holiday Wrestling Tournament at Vandalia Butler.
The top finisher locally was Chillicothe’s Cannan Smith, winning the 132-pound class. Other Top six placers included Smith brother Cael, 4th at 138 and Washington’s Mason Heidler, 4th at 106. Huntington’s Jackson McNeal placed 3rd at 215. Miami Trace’s Joshua McGraw was 5th at 285 and Will Enochs was 6th at 150.

Gales’ Young Wins at Marion Harding
Lancaster participated in the 43 team Marion Harding Classic this week.
Just two of the Gales’ wrestlers made the Top six. Braylon Young won the 138 class and Myles Shriver placed 4th at 144.

McClain Gets Edged at Mark DePugh Classic
Sheridan escaped with a slim victory over McClain 234-233 to win the 12 team Mark DePugh Holiday Classic at Huntington High School Monday.
Local champs included Huntington’s Gordon Cyrus (138) and Ernest Cyrus (285); McClain’s Zayne Knisley (132) and Hunter Skaggs (190), Sheridan’s Seth Johnson (106) and Luke Skinner (157); Fairfield Union’s Eli Milby (120), Colton Borah (144) and Kaden Metzler (150) and Waverly’s Peewee Tolliver (215).
