Four Chillicothe Elks Hoop Shoot Winners Advance to the 2026 State Tournament

Ross County will be well represented at the 2026 State Eks Hoop Shoot to be held in Newark next month.

Four of the six State qualifiers from Sunday’s District tournament hosted by Jackson High School were winners from last month’s Chillicothe Elks Hoop Shoot, representing Elks Lodge #52.

District Division winners advancing to the State include:
Girls 8-9 year olds: Gigi Trotter (Chillicothe)
Girls 10-11 year olds: Ainsley Weaver (Paint Valley)
Girls 12-13 year olds: Skye Martin (Unioto)
Boys 10-11 year olds: Ean Huffer (Unioto)

Just missing the cut was Joshua Strong (Chillicothe) who finished second in the 12-13 year old division. Maddox Minnehan (Huntington) finished 3rd among the 8-9 year old boys.

The State Tournament will be played February 21st in Newark.
