
Ohio Counties 2026 Scholarship Applications Are Now Available

The Ohio Counties Scholarship is sponsored by the County Commissioners Association of Ohio
Research and Educational Foundation. Founded in 1991, as a not-for-profit charitable foundation for
the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO), the CCAO Research and Educational
Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that obtains grants and donations to provide the high-quality information, tools, and training for our members and the people of Ohio.
Throughout the state, there will be one scholarship offered to students in each CCAO District (Central,
Southwest, Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast). The award amount is $2,000 and is payable to the
student when our office has received confirmation of your attendance at a university, community
college, training program or vocational school. Applicants should plan on a career in public service in
Ohio. This includes, but not limited to: elected official, public administrators, civil
servants/government employee, social workers, military, education, healthcare, law enforcement and
justice, emergency services, non-profit and community service, conservation/wildlife, city/state
planners, public works employees, and workforce development.
Immediate family members of CCAO, CORSA, or CEBCO are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
The deadline to apply for this scholarship is Friday, May 1, 2026.
Please Note: Partial applications will not be considered. All requirements of the application must be
included in one email or US mailed packet. Scholarship recipients are expected to take part in a brief
presentation with their Board of County Commissioners. Photographs will be used for CCAO Research
and Educational Foundation purposes.
