The Western Indians shot out of the blocks like a rocket Thursday in their Southeast District Quarter-Final with Miller. The Indians rode the hot hand of Foster Davis to a 22-8 lead after the first eight minutes. Davis scored 13 of his 18-points in the period. It was a margin Miller wouldn’t overcome, falling 76-55.

Indians head coach praised the efforts of Davis. “He came out ready to play today” said Williams. Davis had three triples in the first quarter, and while his offensive game was on mark at the start, it was his defensive play Williams was most pleased with. “We challenged him all week, knowing he’d guard their best player (Bryce Dorsey). Foster did a really nice job on him defensively. We take advantage of him being an undersized big… I talk all the time about finding your spots and he knows where his spots are and he gets to those spots and he’s ready to shot the ball. That’s what he did at the beginning of the game. We rode it until he missed and then went somewhere else.”
The Falcons were without leading scorer, Bryce Dorsey for much of the first half. Dorsey collided with a teammate, resulting in a cut over his eye just five-minutes into the contest. He would return to action later, leading Miller with 20-points despite a bandage around his head.
Western held a 39-25 lead at the intermission. The Falcons managed to pull within ten at 59-49 in the fourth quarter, but Western thwarted the comeback, connecting on consecutive three-pointers by Brayden Jones, Braiden Taylor and Luke Owens capped by a baseline runner by Josiah Satterfield pushing the Indians ahead 67-49 on an 11-0 run.
Taylor pace Western with 23-points ahead of 18 by Davis and 14 for Landen Owens. Jones and Satterfield had 9-apiece, with Wyatt Henderson scoring two and Jan Garcia adding one. Miller’s Bodie Dorsey scored 17 behind Bryce Dorsey’s 20. Parker Cummings had 10-points, Ethan Tucker with 6 and Dawson Dyer 2.
The Indians improved to 11-12 on the season while the Falcons finished the 2025-26 campaign at 7-16.
