More Families in Fayette and Clinton Counties Can Now Get Free Early Childhood Support at Home

Article Presented By Ross Chillicothe Convention & Visitors Bureau…

FAYETTE COUNTY, Ohio — Help Me Grow and Family Connects are now serving families in both Fayette and Clinton counties.

The expansion means more parents can receive free, trusted support during pregnancy and early childhood, right at home.

Help Me Grow offers home visits for expectant parents and families with young children. Services include developmental screenings, parenting education, and connections to local resources.

Family Connects provides nurse home visits for families with newborns, including health checks, caregiver support, and personalized referrals.

“These programs meet families where they are and make sure parents have support from day one,” said Health Commissioner Leigh Olaker, MPH, of Fayette County Public Health. “Expanding services into Clinton County allows more families to access trusted guidance, strong local connections, and resources that help children and parents thrive.”

Families can participate at no cost. Services are voluntary.

Referrals are welcome from:

  • Parents and caregivers (self-referrals)
  • OB providers and pediatric offices
  • Hospitals and birthing centers
  • WIC and early childhood programs
  • Community and social service agencies
