
Pickaway Chamber Recognizes Members at Annual Dinner

The Pickaway County Chamber of Commerce recently held its annual Chamber Dinner recognizing members for outstanding work in their community.
The event was held in Heritage Hall of the Pickaway County Events & Agriculture Center last Thursday evening.

Jean Ankrom Memorial Retail Service Award
The Jean Ankrom Memorial Retail Service Award was presented to Wittich’s Candy. This award honors a business with up to 50 employees that demonstrates innovation in product or service delivery while maintaining a strong commitment to ethical practices, operational pride, and community involvement.
Wittich’s Candy has been part of the Pickaway County community since 1840 and continues to lead within its industry. Known as the nation’s oldest family-owned confectionery candy shop, Wittich’s has preserved its historic legacy while continuing to innovate. In addition to its beloved chocolates and ice cream, the business has recently partnered with other Pickaway County Chamber member vendors to expand its retail offerings, further strengthening local collaboration.

Business Pride Award
The Business Pride Award was awarded to Scioto Valley Wrecker Shop. This award recognizes a company that demonstrates exceptional pride in its operations through facility improvements, employee appreciation, expanded services, and outstanding customer care.
Scioto Valley Wrecker Shop has consistently shown dedication to growth and innovation. From facility upgrades and refreshed branding to an enhanced social media presence, the company continues to evolve while remaining deeply committed to serving its customers and giving back to the community.
Non-Profit of the Year Award

The Non-Profit of the Year Award was presented to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles of Circleville. This honor recognizes a nonprofit organization that demonstrates outstanding commitment to its mission while making a meaningful and measurable impact on the community.
The Fraternal Order of the Eagles of Circleville has excelled in building strong partnerships throughout the county while generously contributing time, donations, and resources to support local causes. Their commitment to service has made a significant difference in the lives of many throughout Pickaway County.

Ambassador of the Year Award
The Ambassador of the Year Award was awarded to Wendy Kertesz. This award recognizes a Chamber Ambassador who demonstrates exceptional dedication to supporting Chamber members and advancing the mission of the organization.
Kertesz has shown remarkable initiative and enthusiasm in her role. She is actively involved in Chamber events, consistently welcoming and supporting members while representing the Chamber with positivity and professionalism. Her energy and commitment make a lasting impact on both members and the broader community.

Businessperson of the Year Award
The evening concluded with the presentation of the Businessperson of the Year Award to Carly Neff, owner of Rhoads Garden Center. This prestigious award recognizes a Chamber member who owns or operates a business and has demonstrated outstanding leadership and service within the community.
Neff is a proud steward of a family legacy rooted in hard work and a deep love for Pickaway County. Founded by her parents and grandparents, Rhoads Garden Center has long been woven into the fabric of her life. With gratitude at the heart of everything she does, Neff leads with the belief that a business can be a place of connection, inspiration, and generosity. Under her leadership, Rhoads Garden Center continues to flourish as a reflection of her dedication to both her customers and the community.
